Quality Time

Had a great Thanksgiving with the family this weekend in San Luis Obispo and did some much needed offroading. Took my Dad out in the hills and did some very slow washed out roads in the morning; then in the afternoon we were cruising the dunes of Pismo Beach CA. Here are a couple pics for you guys. No pics of the really rough stuff but then I took it pretty easy.

Did not intend to go as far into the dunes as I did. I would not have gone any further without one though.

Re: Quality Time

There`s something wrong with those vintage Chevy Truck ad pictures.First,I can`t believe the quality. They look eerily newish, like they were digital. Also,I though rallyes didn`t come until later.Man,you got me all messed up.

I didn't think about that until you said it. They do kinda look like the old brochure shots. Just need a couple girls with surfboards and a picnic basket in that beach shot.

Re: Quality Time

Yeah, and since the rallye wheels are a later design maybe the girls could wear more modern swim suits?
Is that your dog in the first picture? Those cows sure live on some fine real estate.

Re: Quality Time

They seemed happy. This one couldn't take her eyes off us. Probably expected some alfalfa to be tossed out of that truck bed.

Wait, don't happy cows come from California? I can't believe that the ads on TV would lie to us.

Looks like a nice time was had by all. Taking your dad out like that is a memory that will last for both of you. When you don't have him anymore, like me, you'll be glad you did that for both of you. He's gotta be proud of you.

Re: Quality Time

Looks like a good time had by both. Couldn't get dad to poke his head out for a pic, camera shy huh? Seeing those cows make me think of a nice juicey steak. Truck looks awesome.
