Factory spare tire on swing away carrier ?

what size factory spare came on the swing away carrier?I have one that is a 16.5, was that correct for it or did someone just throw it on there because it was a 6 lug?thanks for any info.

Their was no factory swing away spare carrier. It was an add on. The spares came same size as the tires on the truck. You can put most any size tire on the tire rack, but will have to put a longer bolt for bigger tires.

I wouldn't want to put much bigger than a 33 inch tire on a "dealer installed" tire carrier.

i had 33on my swing away. but i took that off my truck and went back to stock in the cab
