Actually --- I read the article when it was featured in Classic Truck Mag last summer. They are barn doors ( choped in half ) with a lift gate. Similar to the setup of what some mini-vans have.
And those tail lights are post '92 Cadillac.

Oh ok he does have the lower part split. Didnt notice that. Kinda cool.
So will a barn door suburban take a lift gate with out much trouble? I think something really cool would be a lift gate with a window that goes down into it like in the pre 91 suburbans. Not sure on the years. But the ones with power rear window that went into the gate.

I don't know what year taillights they are. I just thought you wanted pics of Caddy lights in Sub's. Sorry. But yea. Look closer, it has a lift gate and the bottom is two pieces. I have some more pics of it. If you want me to post them???

I have a sub with lift gate.In the side of the opening there are holes for the barn door hinges.I would think it would take a lot of work to put a window in that could be lowered.Of course with plenty of time anything is possible.
