Ok guys the part number is E95879.......That for the Auto Zone struts.....The O.E will cost twice as much....Even though that is what i used....Mine came off a total

And to bring everything up to speed....Yesterday i borrowed Richard H s BIG OLE FORD....And Loaded Sweet Pea up to take to work......And on a side note i have to say.....That BIG OLE FORD....is one truck hauling machine....I have used it two times now.....Once to go get Herbert and this time for Sweet Pea.....I have towed a vehicle many times on a trailer and none made me feel as safe for stopping or having enough power than this Ford......Ford or not that thing is made to work......Sorry Ford Haters,but the proof is in the Pudding......At any rate.......Got Sweet Pea loaded all up ( by myself) and headed for the 20 mile trip..........Got her at work safe,and sound......And called it a day.....This A.M i headed in to get some last minute things done.....Mainly strip the hood, with my works big ole compressors rather than running mine down and playing the catch up game......There was 5 coats of color and 5 coats of clear on it....From adding the stripes, and fixing rock chips a few times ....As the pics will show ........IT needed it.....I also fixed and made a cowl line that was bugging the piss out of me....I had reamed beat to fit and done everything i could think of to get a good line.....And it just was not happening.....So i made one....I also noticed that were i shaved the gas tank hole it just was not lining up with the door how i wanted....So a quick glaze and i got that squared away..... .....This coming week i am going to get some small dents fixed in the hood and get it primed and blocked a few times and then start the blocking process........We will see how it goes.....Any ways here are a few pics.........

realy nice job on the truck , i know you will be going for the silver but a kind off british racing green on the roofpart would've looked good too .
you might still be able to use that colour for a pinstripe though

Thanks everyone......And as far as the Silver ITS GONE.......i wont be running it....for a two tone....Maybe a stripe, but as far as two tone goes.....Its not happening....Having both colors out in the sunlight is too much....The green is a very transparent color...and the silver is a IN YOU FACE kinda color... I will keep the little things i painted silver.

Its a 77 Gravely that has a 26 H.P Kawasaki V twin .It runs really well.lol.Its my snow bandit....lol

Thanks Nuke....Its not mine so..but very nice to be able to use it..lol......I have made good money in this shop...And did ok i a smaller one..big shop = more jobs...Where Sweet Pea is now is in my area....I have three bays......This is a big shop......And the Paint Dept is in another building.....


And mike i would not say a perfectionist.......I would just say i want it right.....lol

Hey Tony, I was just looking at those pics again and noticed the rear shackles are kind of pulled forword. Are they supposed to be like that? I thought they were supposed to be straight up, like the springs are too short or something?

i agree with you on the big shop=more jobs, i have been there, flat rate, worked from 430 am till 5pm everyday, made great money but life got a little worn out, so i stepped down to strait time and a small resto shop, i work at my own pace and get the job done, and i was sick of all of the controversy in the shop.

Mike i am not sure......As far as i know they are original to the truck....I just did a flip kit and then the the springs re arched........Sweet Pea is a Chevrolet...Not a GMC ...But i am pretty sure its the same spring.....?


Cody the seats are (was) from a 99 Monte Carlo... i am using a bench now......


Nuke thats awesome. i would love to get into a custom or resto shop.....That is and has been my goal since i got in this line of work.......But with the ever changing economy and the fact that there is just a few shops in Indianapolis i really dont think its going to happen..................But i keep my eyes open all the time........

LOL Richard H for the Record I did not know about the Bumper (the first time) And just forgot to take it out the 2nd.......As far as the Hitch....That was kinda a joke...The ( pro s) lol.......We got our own views on that.......AS we have talked about....(Most) of the (pro s) at my shop.....Cant believe what i am doing to this (ole) truck.....And none want to partake in a block party.....The bed, its over in the paint shop.....I got a little blocking done on it tonight....Its close to its 2nd coat of primer.....I just took it off now, for the eager hands that was awaiting me.......lol


Watahyaknow....Thats great...There is only 2 or 3 custom type shops around.....Richard Hs brother would be one and there is a Lowrider type shop.And just one (ole school) type custom shop......It would be a long time before i would consider doing a Restoration type thing .....On my own that is......I am not a (manger type person) or business minded for that matter.........I am just a worker.....I am not saying that one day i would not try it......But there is more i would like to learn, fab skills, and different ways to approach things......For the now the Collision side will have to do....New Baby,New Wife.....Morgage Payment.......lol.......That will all comes before some dream...........

smallish update..After a few nights staying late i finally got the hood squared away......Nothing major just some small dents.......The biggest issue was the hood being so flimsy....These things like to move around......Anyways i got her in some Etch primer, and she is awaiting some Poly Primer in the A.M.........Then i will edge the hood green....Take off the cowl and start the LONG process of blocking the whole truck................
