72 GMC with trailing arms?
Ive done a little looking here but cant find this anwser. My 72 GMC has trailing arms and coils. A guy told me yesterday that they didnt come from the factory that way. He thinks someone swapped frames but when I tore the truck apart It looked like the first time it had been apart.
The trucks in AL and Im in TN so I cant match any numbers. Just wondering if anyone here knew an anwser. Thanks.

Re: 72 GMC with trailing arms?
very widespread misconception.
Most years, 67 - 72, the leafs were standard equipment, and coils were optional. A couple years, was coils base equipment, and leafs being optional... just like a chevy. |

That guy is a liar! Well, now I know, I thought that half way through 72 they said "Hey lets try coil springs!"

Dad's 71 GMC 1/2 ton (my avatar) has coils. I also never knew 3/4 ton 2wd could have coils or leafs
