dually owners or dually conversion guys...have a few questions
Hi guys. I'm seriously thinking about converting my '72 K25 into a dually. I've searched and read all the post I could find, and there's a lot of info/pics on adding the stepside fenders to my bed for the dually look, but I need some help on the actual rear-end conversion.
I currently have the stock Dana 60/leaf spring set-up. What dually rear end do I need to look for to swap in it's place? A Dana 70? A 14 bolt? Any particular year I should look for? Width differences I need to be aware of? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Casey.

Either one of those would be fine. I would start by locating a donor truck, probably from the 73-87 era trucks. That way you get your rear-end, springs, frontend (hubs, etc.), wheels, brakes, and all of that good stuff. They can be had pretty cheap with bad motors or rotted out bodies.

The 67 I have has a very narrow rear axle, but you don't necessarily want that look. I don't know if 72s we the same.
