LMC Exhaust
Anyone know if the LMC exhaust kit for the 72 will fit with Summit's long tube headers?

Re: LMC Exhaust
I'm sure if you cut the front pipes in the kit and weld collectors on it will work fine.

Re: LMC Exhaust
yes, I'm sure if I cut and weld it will fit, but I have never done that before. Was hoping someone had the same setup and could tell me how involved it was...

Re: LMC Exhaust
Wont that exhaust have to be cut to fit any ways? Are you looking for complete bolt on?

Re: LMC Exhaust
from what I have heard, the LMC kit should just bolt right up.

Re: LMC Exhaust
Well it shouldnt be too hard. The header collectors bolt on, and as long as the LMC pipe fits over the collector you can just clamp it on. And its not too hard to measure and cut the pipe so it is the right length, just measure several times! And if the pipe doesnt slip over the collector, an exhaust shop wont charge you much at all just to weld on the two pipes

Re: LMC Exhaust
from what i understand the lmc kit is made by heartthrob exhaust. I found another distributor online that sells the same kits as LMC, but cheaper. I have never ordered from them before but plan on it after the holidays. The kit i want is the rear exit turbo muffler kit. From LMC it was around $300 with shipping and from Super Truck Essentials at www.supertruckusa.com my total was around 240. I had a little trouble getting around the site but the part number for the kit I want is 77602.331

Re: LMC Exhaust
I used a heartthrob system from JC Whitney. It uses 3" collectors and glass packs and is supposed to exit infront of the rear wheels. I cut mine short and turned them down so the exhaust exits under the truck, but turned to the sides a little. They've got them now for 208 plus shipping. had clamps and universal mounting brackets. if your going for a cruizer, the muffler option might be better (glass packs were a bit loud)
