I put a new carrier bearing and support along with new u-joints not to long ago. I had a little mishap at the lake. I almost bottomed out the truck. The exhaust hung very very low when I bought it which was crushed and the drivshaft hit hard enough to break the carrier bearing support. That was one hell of a clunking sound on the way home! The driveshaft was the first thing i checked when it started earlier this week.
