They also have a LS1 swap in a yellow 77 C10. Look in their swap page. It was the first swap they advertised.

No doubt, they aren't known to have pricing that's affordable for most.

Re: For all who want to do a LSX trans plant.

my swap is in the 5k + range already.

S&P have some good stuff, but they are on the more expensive side. I got my headers from them and a few fittings to tie up some loose ends.

I have all the reciepts but im scared to add them up to see how much ive spent.

I have a 99 Vette with the fly by wire and have no problems with it. Fighter jet have had it for a while with no problems. What don't you like about it?

There's just some things a computer should not and can not do, and throttle
control is one of them.

I've herd 98 and up GM cars/trucks have a "black box" that records you're
driving.
GM does track cars with On Star installed.

"mainly" geez that doesn't make me feel better.

I don't do well with electronic nannys...

I still want an LSx, but only with an aftermarket or reprogrammed GM computer.

You know, the easy thing to do would be putting the old cab and bed on
the newer frame and drive train.

Re: For all who want to do a LSX trans plant.

ok so your still running the coil packs with an msd6010 controler... then a carb on top... that sounds liek a really clean instail for my truck... i mean i can get a used lsx motor, tranny, ecu, harness, pulley system, the whole nine from a place near me called contemporary corvette for jsut under 3k... most of the vettes they part out have been in rear end colisions and they keep it in the car if you wanna hear it run... i looked at 8 engines yesterday all running, all under 20k miles... i think thats the next route im taking... maybe not this income tax time but definitly next year if its not done already

Re: For all who want to do a LSX trans plant.

yeah that looks like i will be doing that to the 87... just one question though... since i already have the tpi off an 85 firebird would it be easier to keep the fuel injection or switch it to carbed... im not saying use the firebird manifold but use the complete lsx fuel delivery system or get a carbd intake and all that? i personally would liek to keep it FI because then i could use the plastic covers and all but if it would be easier to switch it i would if i had to.. waht do you think?
