Re: windshield removal..
No matter how you take it out replace the gasket with a new one no matter what. With that said cut the rubber gasket and take it out. Takes a good razor knife and about 15 minutes. Buy a new one to reinstall.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Yep, just take a razor blade and cut down through the center along the edge of the glass and peel off the gasket and have a buddy push on the inside and it will pop right out. You need a new gasket, but like has been said, you need it anyways.

Re: windshield removal..
I removed one from a '71 I am parting out by myself by installing a NEW blade in the utility knife, cutting the rubber from the inside til I saw the edge of the windshield opening, then it almost fell out on its own. Be careful pushing very much. If it is still in a bind anywhere, it will crack the windshield.
