Exhuasting again.

OK, I'm still workin' on a new exhuast system for my '86 GMC narrow dually 1 ton. The original plan was to run 2.5'' pipes from the small block cast iron manifolds, H pipe, then thru '06 corvette mufflers and 2.5" stacks up over the wing, between the cab and flatbed headache bar. I really don't want long tube headers, but have been considering stainless block hugger center dumps. I'm thinking They gotta flow way better than the cast irons, without much more noise, heat or spark plug interfearance. Then I thought about the factory stainless stuff used in the Camaro's, Firebird's and, I think , half ton pickups.

Will the stock late model (90's Vortec) stainless tube SBC manifolds (rear or mid dump) fit in my frame? Have any of you engine swap guy's tried them?

Would somebody with access to a late model SBC pickup take some measurements for me?

Yea, I know, the stacks are gonna look funny, but I'm trying to keep the front of the car hualer cleaner, and not wake the neighbors when I roll out at 3 AM. Without all the "in cab" resonence at 75 MPH drowning out ZZ top and SRVaughn ... Thanks, RED (CSOB and Genuine Antique Teenager)
