Sectioning front crossmember
I know it would be better to just buy a dropmember but I don't have the cash for that right now, so I want to section the front crossmember so in the future I could switch to the dropmember when I have the cash. So to my question, how much can the front crossmember be sectioned and how much do I need to section it to lay frame? I did a search but couldn't find a straight answer. Thanks for the help.

On the left side click "How-To Projects", then click on "Chopped Crossmember How-To". You can get about an inch or so without doing any drastic steering changes. Over that, it gets hairy.
