Just don't try to use them like hydraulics when you're at a car show...and embarass yourself when you explode a bag at 1800PSI.

My ear was ringing for a few hours after someone pulled that stunt...

By the way, that was done with two full 3-gallon air tanks @ about 130psi. I could have lifted the rear end up a few more times, but there wasn't enough pressure left to raise the front end. Also, that's with 3/8" valves and 3/8" air line. So that'll give you an idea of how much "play time" you'd have with a similar set-up. So basically, I can get about 2 full lifts before I'd need to refill the tanks.

Do the tanks refill automatically? If so, do they refill only when they run out or when does it constantly fill up the tanks when it is not at full pressure? I knew I shouldn't watch that video. Now I want airbags agian. Dang it. That is awesome. Good job!

I have a pressure switch on one of my tanks (the tanks are tied together via an air line). When the tank pressure drops below a certain point (around 90psi I think), the compressers kick on. Once the pressure reaches about 130, they shut off. I've also got pressure switch hooked to a toggle switch so I can shut them off if need be.

That's not alot of play time, how long to re-coop air supply?

I'm tellin ya BRO, leave those compressors for back up and go Co2, or nitrogen 1600psi bottle, I run my tank pressure at a full 180psi, gives quicker lifts and ALOT MORE PLAY TIME, then if you get carried away and play the bottle empty. You can kick on those compressors to get ya home.

Something to think about, Your truck is coming along nice.

What is the initial cost for a CO2 setup and what do refills cost? I assume it'd be similar to my welding gas. I think the bottle was $150 (for a deposit) and about $27 to refill (it's about a 4ft tall tank). What size tank are you running?

It takes a good 4 or 5 miuntes to refill the tanks once they kick back on.

Same bottle, $150 initial, and I talked with the welding shop, told them what it was for and that I would be getting refills often and they cut me a deal for a $12 refill. If it is just to and from work and maybe occasional PIMPIN at a stop light, a bottle will last a month.

I put this civic on the bottle at 180psi and the damn thing nearly hops, its CRAZY FAST. Air rods are cool cause you can suck a wheel.

Check this out, I know it's not a truck, But it is PRETTY SICK!!!
