She's in the shop for her drop - Now with PICS

Dropped the truck off this morning at the shop to get the 3.5/5 drop taken care of. Installing new ball joints, tie rod ends, drop spindles and springs in the front and back. Parts cost more than I had expected and the labor to get it done is gonna kill my check book but it should look good once finished. I will post pics when I get it out, either tonight or monday.

Re: She's in the shop for her drop

Really wish I could, would sure as hell save me some money, but don't have the knowledge or tools to get it done right. Figured it will only have to be done once and I'd like it to be right the first time, hopefully worth the 5 or 6 hundred its gonna cost.

Re: She's in the shop for her drop

We need some before and after pics for a true comparison...

As mentioned above... make sure you run the shock relocators and an adjustable panhard bar.

Where did you order your parts from? Kit?

Re: She's in the shop for her drop

Holy hell, the damn front went down 4.5 instead of 3.5. Talked with with ECE, gonna send me another set of 1 inch springs for the front, hopefully it will sit right after that.

Threw a 15inch Cragar rim with 255/60 tire instead of the other
255/70 on my original rims on to test cause the other tires rub too
much in front because of the offset and tire size.

Re: She's in the shop for her drop

Shock relocators put the shocks in a more "vertical" position so the actually work. Otherwise they are laying to flat,... and end up just "pivoting" on the mounting bolts.
The adjustable panhard bar is needed to re-center the rearend after it's lowered so your truck will track straight.
