Questions about factory gauges.

I have heard some talk that some gauges are different from a C-10 to a C-60. I know the oil gauges are 60 or 80 pounds. Either should work in a pickup. The fuel gauges have different warning lights, but still work as far as i know. I am unaware of any difference in the speedometer. And of course the vacuum and air pressure gauges were from the bigger trucks. Can anyone shed some light on the fuel and speedo difference?

Re: Questions about factory gauges.

I have a few gauges from a C-50 and a C-60.

the speedo is identical to the one in my C-10. no differences.

and like you stated, the fuel gauges are only different because of the "tandem lock" or "overspeed" idiot lights. but the internals are the same. I checked that too.

Re: Questions about factory gauges.

So the warning lights on the fuel gauge are about it, correct?
Thanks for the input.
