can someone show me

where the id for the 6cy is? I hear its by the distributor. If you have a clean motor can you show it on here for me? I can easily tell the 292 but the 230/250 look similar.

There is a machined area by the distributor. You just need to clean it off a bit and you will be able to read it. Here is a list of suffix codes.

You are going to have to look for a machined area at about the same area as the distributor mount hole. It is there you just need to look.
