Locking Gas Cap

Anybody using a locking gas cap for their blazer? I can only find the regular ones at all of the auto parts stores. A part number would be great.

I've got one on my truck for the main gas tank. I where it came from or if it is original or not though.

Just a thought. Tractor gas caps look a lot like ours. Maybe try Tractor Supply or a store like that.

Re: Locking Gas Cap

The truck ones won't work on mine. It's a different part number.

Re: Locking Gas Cap

if you still have the original spout, most any of the 60's and 70's were about the same. mines off a 70 ford. they just push on, and turn clockwise to tighten them down. try to find an old man at a parts store, he can probably help you out. sometimes you just had to have been their.

Re: Locking Gas Cap

Filler tubes were different sizes between 69 & 72. I can't remember if the 70's & 71's were the same as the 69's or the 72's though. I believe that 69 was unique. Hopefully someone will chime in with the correct answer.

Re: Locking Gas Cap

I'll check it again. I bought one and couldn't get it to go on so I returned it.

Re: Locking Gas Cap

You may have already solved this, but Napa is the only place I could find them without mail ordering them. Autozone, etc., didnt have them. I dont know the part number, but if you tell them you want a locking gas cap and the year, they'll have it, and its metal not plastic, which I like better. I've bought two there (left the first one on the tire at the gas station).
