My wife and truck just don't get along
Rewind to this past Sunday. Finally got my grant steering wheel installed after returning a bad kit because the hub wouldn't fit properly.Anyone who has done these knows how tricky the horn set up is.Wired mine, hooked up the battery, hit the horn, nothing.Reversed the wire, hooked up the battery, hit the horn, nothing.I resolve to the fact that I not going to have a horn. No problem, I can live with that. Fast forward to today. I get a call at work from my wife who puts the phone out the front door asking"Can you here your truck?" My horn decides to start blasting 48 hours after I hooked it up. I tell my wife she'll have to disconnect the battery. My wife is far from mechanically inclined. How do I pop the hood? How do I disconnect the battery? I try to explain ,with the blaring horn in the background making it hard to hear. She hangs up and says she'll try.I'm thinking"wait until the hood is up and she REALLY hears the horn up close and personal"She finally gets it done after another call about what wrench to use to loosen the cable off the battery. Rewind about 2 months earlier, the last time she drove my truck because one of our daily drivers was in the shop. My ignition or starter stuck and the truck just kept trying to turn over at 6 in the morning when she tried to go to work.I work at 9 so she runs in to get me and by the time I get to it the battery is almost dead. I guess I should have given her the hood/battery FYI then. My truck is now THE STUPID TRUCK to her.Someday they'll get along.

That's funny I don't care who you are. You're truck has a jealousy issue and is trying to ruin your marriage.

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
Before my truck went for its transformation...my wife said the only time she saw it running was behind a tow truck.

I know your pain. My wife hates my truck. She refuses to drive it! That I guess is a good thing now that I think about it!

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
My husband will not drive my truck. If I had a medical emergency he might, but I would have to reveal the ultra secret starting ritual, and then I would have to kill him.

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
Years ago my 2nd wife tried driving my 69 several times. Each time something happened.
She said, that truck HATES me. I told her to drive her own freakin' car. Solved the problem.

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
luckily i have had good experiences w/ my wife and my truck. she actually loves it and even went on a maiden voyage around the neighborhood with open headers and no hood shortly after the new engine and trans were installed. ive actually debated selling it and she was the one to stop me.. probably because she didnt want to hear me wine about regretting getting rid of it and wanting another one a week later.....

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
My truck has left the wife stranded one to many times for them to ever be friends.I also found out that my wife will use a bad word, when she is forced to help push a very heavy truck in the rain!

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
I have a guy a few miles from me that is a mechanic and works on my truck when things get too deep (has a shop behind his house). He told me yesterday that people were starting to think he owned the truck since it spends more time at his house then at mine.

Re: My wife and truck just don't get along
I find it very sad that most women dont get along with their husbands trucks. Most of them even hate them. I love our trucks and enjoy driving and working on them. I help him find them buy them and I try to keep them. Cant we all just love the trucks?
