'69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

What would have come stock on a '69 CST 1/2 SWB pickup? I would like to see some pics of the stock hubby's that would have been offered for this model.

Thanks in advance guys!

Re: '69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

hummmm, why are you asking about 69's Nate? I'll never tell!

If the spid states "full wheel covers" RPO code P01, then it will be like in the pic above. if not, they would probably be the stainless dogdish type, since it is a CST.

and I believe Joesjunk has a NICE set of them for sale still.......

Re: '69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

Thanks for the information guys! So if the SPID doesn't have the RPO code of a full cover, then it would have come with the chrome smaller covers with a bowtie in the middle (either yellow or blue) correct? Like these: (thanks for the pic joesjunk!)

More information to come for you Doug.... and others!

Re: '69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

and since this "supposed" '69 is a CST, I would almost guarantee they were chrome dogdishes like the one Joe has.

my low buck, only one option, '69 stepside had white painted dogdishes.

sure would like to see pics of a certain '69 soon.... ahem.

I love the full covers. Just like the mid 70's Ford trucks had those wheel covers that looked like mag wheels.

Re: '69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

I always thought the 69-70 full caps were the same as the 71-71 but didnt have the center bulge? If not what year are those for? 67-68? I was just about to buy a set for my 69 but now Im lost.

Does anyone have a complete listing for the hubcaps used on these trucks for all 6 years?

I dunno Doug, all of the CST's I have had came with full wheel covers. The standard ones that came with dog dishes would have been the stainless ones on a CST, but all the ones I've had the optional full wheel covers.

Re: '69 CST 1/2t SWB Wheel Cap (hubcap) Question

BTW, I put the full wheel covers on my '69 Beater truck one time and it was blingalicous!! It got cocky and started talking crap to my other '69, so I had to take 'em off

The 67/68s had the smooth centers with the bowtie/GMC embossed.69-72 are the same covers.
