Another tire size help question

Im doing a 4.5/6 or 5/7 drop on my 82 C-10 and im wondering about tire size on a 15x8 rally. I like the way the 255/60 15's look, but I think they may be a bit small as far as sidewall. I know they're 27" in diameter, section width is 10" and section height is 6". I was also thinking about 265/70 15, but I think they may be a little big. They run 29.6" in diameter, section width is 10.4" and section height is 7.3". I like a little bit bigger tire, but I think it's too much with that drop, it'll just look odd.
So now im here, wondering what other options are, or if I should just go with 255/60 15's and just shut up. Any suggestions?

What about 255/70? It should be about 29" tall but same width, whereas the 265/70 would be about 29.5" tall and about .5" wider

i know its not a c10 but this might help ya some? im running a 275/60-15 on a 15"x10" rally wheel on the back of my suburban with a 7" drop. i know you plan on running an 8" wide wheel but its another option that might help ya out some. the front is a 205/75-15 on an 8" wheel and 5" drop

that's not a bad idea. I should be fine on the front with stock inner fenders, I mean these trucks can take a big wheel and tire before they need to be cut . I don't think they'd rub, but has anyone tried this?

Also, the 275/60-15's are not bad on a 10" wide wheel, and I know wheel vintiques makes a 10" wide pickup rally. Maybe that's something ill look into for the rear.

Re: Another tire size help question

Thanks a lot for the pic Frank. That was your old tan truck with a 2/4 drop, right?

Re: Another tire size help question

With the drop you're doing I've used 245/60/15s on front and 275/60/15s on the back and it looked good. That 275 will mount up fine on th 8s
