how do i get that thing off

a hammer lol dont the shift rod have threads on it an they screw on and off? maybe get some wd-40 with one of them little nozzles. and squirt it ont he bottom side. of the knob and letting it set maybe letting it turn its self loose.

a pair of channel locks?
has it been setin out in like some weather or ?

the knob itself is threaded, and there is a locknut underneath it.

you need to "tighten" the locknut so that you can loosen the knob.

get it?

i just put a hurst T-Handle on mine

thats what i want on mine but im just gunna have to sidle for a carbon fiber gear sifter knob i have layen around

i dint see any nut under the handle can u describe it to me thanks for the help by the way

Use a rag to protect the knob if you care about it and try a pipe wrench.

well here my new shift knob im not a big fan of it but i like it better then the stock one i want eather i pistol grim one ore a t handle knob but i used the pipe wrench method
