light question

the lights on my truck need to work BUT. they dont so all of my gauge lights work when i pull the light knob halfway out but when you pull it all the way out they turn off and the headlights dont come on do i just have a bad switch?

check the plug that goes to the dimmer switch on the floor the plug on mine was corroded and it caused the headlights to turn off sometimes
