Re: 67 K20 disc brake conversion?

I did it to my 68 K-10...

You need a 3/4 ton axle from any chevy up to 88ish??? new rubber brake lines, new MC and prop valve (might as well get a full kitwith booster, bracket,MC and prop valve), might as well go power steering from donor truck too... gearbox, drag link, PS pump and lines.

Of course you need to match the gearing for the rear... Your frame is flat behind the steering box which causes more issues (I have an adapter that I bought)....

Not quite a simple bolt on but in the end you could have a PS,PB disc truck for about $750

Re: 67 K20 disc brake conversion?

i think blackbirds has a kit which is $$, and you are still stuck with the smaller ujoints and larger turning radius of the old axle.

I agree with what msgross said. The easiest way, imo, is to upgrade to a newer axle with discs.
