High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Well im new here so my truck unfortunatley is an 8lug truck that is gonna be sorta funny its gonna be a custom 3/4 ton truck i dont really know what im gonna do to it so it looks good.I need ideas i'll say some bad things first
1. It doesnt run it was my dads dump run truck and he was comin back down from the dump and heard a knock and told himself oh it will go away and of course it did he downshifted when he really shouldnt of too high of rpms and blew the #2 connecting rod thru the pan. 2.the bed is 1 sheet of very rotten plywood you could touch and the wood would just fall out 3. its got some rust Good Things 1. Its all original exept the engine has been rebuilt once its a chevy 350 4 bolt main with a 4 spd granny low no powersteering original big steering wheel seat is ok condition

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Hey bro welcome to the board.
Don't worry about it being an 8 lug truck. The best truck for you is the one that is yours. Enjoy fixing it up!! What is your vision for the truck? Do you want it stock? Do you want to hot rod it? Dream about what you would do if you had the money, time and skill and then go for it!!! Vex

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
A thumpr would be sweet, I am poking a Mutha Thumpr in my six-oh, and I can't wait to hear it. The specs are a bit wild, it should lope very nicely

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Oh an how is the engine getting rebuilt? Stock, Performance, budget, or a combo of all three? A stroker would always be cool, but depends on the budget. I was gonna do a budget 383 before I gave in to the LS2

Re: High School Build 72 Chevy LWB
Lol my Bronco has ran fine since '94. All 224xxx miles have been trouble free. I just put a giant branch through the corner of the windshield this weekend though almost went all the way through and would have hit my head
