Help restoring my 70 grille??
Not sure if I'm posting in the wrong place here, but I'm hoping to get some advice on what to use to restore my 70 outer grill. It's original and in really good shape, but the finish is really oxidized and dull.
I have a polishing wheel, and have tried a few metal polishes, but nothing seems to be cutting through the haze. Any suggestions? |

Re: Help restoring my 70 grille??
Some of the people have used oven cleaner to remove the anodized coating and then polish the aluminum grill. Possibly clear coat to preserve the shine.

Re: Help restoring my 70 grille??
start off with sandpaper//400 grit than go thru finer grits till you get down to 2000 or so grit then you start with the polisheing compounds
