I am about 8k into the Dreaminator without paint. I looked very hard at a 2003 SSR at 43k with no firm arrival date and decided to save an old truck's life. Some things like cab supports and fender wells were expected. Others, like hidden soft spots in frame after sandblasting were not. All in all it has been more fun than I thought. Looking forward to the summer. And if I cost it out over ten summers it is an even better investment.

So ya wanna add up receipts? Lets see.
In my 40 Chevy truck I've got $12,000 and its not even close to done. In my 94 Chevy truck, I've got close to $35,000. In my 67 Chevy truck I've got about $1,600 and Im just getting started with it. And the Blazer I bought for $1,000, but it was recently stolen and recovered so I will get some insurance money out of it. So I would say close to $50,000 into 4 trucks. Not bad if you look at the price of a new one. John

lol...I haven't even gotten into the hardcore refurbishments, and i am spending alot...at least too much for my 2 fast food jobs college budget...$133 for front driveshaft rebuild...$13 for windshield wipers...$7 for bus (yes, BUS) gas pedal to replace missing original...$3 for extra keys...$2 for cleaning supplies...$5 for fuses...FREE floormats out of my totaled oldsmobile...$5 for old-school oil filter & gasket...looks like I may nickel and dime the poor truck to death :p
