a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
Well, after considering all different set-ups for the 72, I finally found a fifth wheel that will work. I had to have a custom sub-frame made to get it in the air enough to be level. This next week, it goes into the paint booth to get a matching paint combo as the truck. I will post pics when that is done. It oughta look *****in'.

Looks insane! Hows the truck pull it?

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
The truck pulls it fine with the fresh 383 stroker and good trans/rear end. A tranny cooler to keep the trans cool, a top of the line trailer braking system...it's all good. The trailer only weighs 3800 lbs dry. Then i add another 200 lbs of Tequilla and we're off. As far as jumping in? Yep, same way i get into the truck.

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
I've had a couple of campers. Getting in I would not be worried about. However, Aren't you worried about it being top heavy and having a lot of body roll that high up? I'm sure the truck has no problem pulling it but how does the trailer track and turn being that high up? that said . nice ride. and have fun on the camping trek. after having two kid we went back to the tent thing and still have a blast doing it. Its like a vacation every weekend at a lower cost. can't wait to see pics of total rig painted.

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
The trailer is not top heavy and there are no issues with rock or sway with the hitch set up. The major portion of the trailer weight sits about even with the frame of the truck.
It follows the truck smoothly. Matter of fact, pulling it from over the axles is much better than from the bumper. Most of the nice areas to camp for me are within an hour to two drive away so it's not much of a haul. I knew when i posted this there would be some that would have some safety concerns and others who would say.....go haul some azz. Either way, it's all good. Thanks for lookin' |

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
I dig it. Kinda reminds me of BJ & The Bear from the 80's.

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
Looks cool, are you gonna paint the front of the trailer too? It would be cool if you could fit some big tires on the camper to match the truck lol

Re: a camp trailer for Stil2Lo
Looks great. BTW, I miss Utah, beautiful country. My first wife was from Utah. Her family has (had) Randall's body shop in Salt Lake City, great people! Would like to get back out there sometime. Great looking truck/camper combo!
