Need Help: Identify Gas Pedal.... - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

When I purchase the truck, it needed a gas pedal. I thought that can't be too hard. I can't seem to find a gas pedal that will adapt to it. See pictures, please assist on helping find what will fit this gas pedal.

That's a standard 67,68 gas linkage, there should be two ball studs under the carpet that the gas peddle attaches to. They probably didn't want to cut the mats and carpet to put the stock peddle back in. You could change to the later cable linkage which would require some minor fab work.

Yep....just like haysonj said....that's the 67/68 accelerator....

I'm thinking about modifying mine to be a 71/72 accelerator by following this great how-to Putter did awhile back

Else, you'll have to see if those stud mounting holes are there to install it correctly....

67 - 69 set up to be acurate.
Any old 69 and older GM accelerator pedal should fit that. Cars, trucks, what ever. They are reproduced and in every truck parts catalog.

The way I fixed mine I used 68 linkage and welded a 71 floating pedel arm to it and then had it chromed looks pretty good

what seats and console are you using?> that looks very cool-did you move the tank outside?....good looking interior

yep, looks like the latter part of the 93 - 99 burb/tahoe... willing to bet it's pretty crapmed for an average 6 foot guy too, those seats are thick and the thickness/reclining robs valuable space.

Seats & Console 98' Denali.

Tank is located in the rear, with the gas filler behind the rear driver light.

I'm 5'11", not too bad with the tank out. Wouldn't want to try to get in if the original tank was in there for sure.

the tank shouldn't matter since the top of the seat hits the window or the metal below the window
