Is this windwing fixable?

The post broke off the bottom of my windwing and I wanted to try to repair it - I have some nice whole wind wings from a '70 I can use for the rest of the assembly, but '67's are unique for the handle and frame, and I wanted to stay year correct if possible. Can this be welded?

I think I would try to find a good used one. It could be welded but it would burn the chrome off of it. If that doesn't bother you any competent welder should be able to do it.
