Re: need opinions
If you have a reason for the boxes ( tools, etc ), keep it. Otherwise I would find another bed. my 5 cents worth!

Re: need opinions
To be honest with you, it would help make the decision a little easier, if the boxes were painted/primered the same as the front of the truck. The front looks really nice, and the back contrasts with it so much right now that its a little difficult to get a good read. I was trying to imagine the boxes on there if they were as clean and nice and painted as the front, maybe then it would be a great idea. But nice lookin truck, good luck.....

Re: need opinions
My teacher at career center where i take an autobody class suggested tht i fix them up and paint them flat black then in red pinstriping paint things such as like tnt explosives blasting caps and things like tht. It might look better lowered too. But im on an extremely low high school budget.

Re: need opinions
Provides you with many options for remote fuel fill! Looks like original box; just needs fenders, and maybe less holes in the boxsides or are the fenders hidden in there somewhere?

Re: need opinions
I like it ! It must be one of those rare Corvette Utility Bed options.
Paint it up as a plumber's truck (Shop Logo the doors) or something. It really would make a great looking work truck. It does look like a pair of rear fenders and you would have a Stepside. |

Re: need opinions
I believe that is a long stepside box with the utility boxes mounted to it. That being so you could remove the side boxes and replace with stepside fenders for not too much $. Or offer up this complete bed for sale or trade for a fleetside bed and be smooth front to rear. Some guys make trailers out of these utitilty beds to use in their jobs such as plumbers, carpenters, roofers, etc.

Re: need opinions
That's a pretty cool truck, I like the bed. I'd paint it and slam it.

Re: need opinions
it is a longbox stepside. i personaly have seen them with regular stepside fenders and dont really like the look of them. they look to long and streched out and cant find the steps.

Re: need opinions
that flat black, with pinstiped lettering on it says "tnt" and "detonators" all over the truck would be really cool.
would be REAL funny to paint it all up like that, mount a fire extinguiser bracket, mark it up the same way with "fire extinguisher"...and then have it the braket be empty ...some people would get it, others might not

Re: need opinions
shop truck would be cool. Be carefull with the TNT and detontators placards could give them a reason to pull you over. Just dont make the placard look real.

If it were my truck, I would have yanked it off the day I bought it.

If you like it; keep it.
If you don't, turn it & make a few bucks.
