Door panels
I replaced the door regulator last week. The power window motor had one broken tooth, so I replaced it too. The window tint was removed for new tint. Everything is put back together. I left the door panel off. The paint is starting to fade, peal and crack. I want to do something to cover them. I need something to look good for a couple of car shows.
I have two ideas to cover them. One, buy some vinyl and cover them. I can use spray on glue. The second idea is use speaker box carpet. I would glue it on too. Has anyone tried glueing carpet or vinyl to door panels? Does anyone have another idea? |

Re: Door panels
the vinyl will probably have to be sewn to make it fit right around the armrest...the rest of the door panel should be no problem...you could always color coat them with SEM products...it would cost less than vinyl and look factory...

Re: Door panels
Strip them and add a fresh coat of dye. The results are worth the effort.

Re: Door panels
Dye? How do you dye them? The door panels are barely worth saving. I want a temporary solution until I'm ready to do the interior.
