Blazer floor question

What is the thick guage bracket called that is underneath the floorpan and follows the hump from under the seat to the higher part of the floor in the back? The rocker connects to it and there are three bolts that hold it in place. I need to find one for the drivers side of my 76 and do not know what it is called.

Ok, we ended up fabing some up, but you'd think that would be a crash part.

The reason they don't is probably because it's a 3 year only piece. I have a set I pulled off a fulltop, just haven't called to aske about it yet.

What were the 3 years? I know that 76 is one of them so I am guessing 77 and 78? Here are some pics of what we did.

The rocker boxes were 73-75 with full removable tops.
Is the long narrow piece the front or rear?

if the rocker boxes are 73-75 only then why does my 76 have them? It is an all original, special order in may of 76 blazer.

That piece is for the front, the part you linked me to is not made the same as what I have.

1976 and 77 was a continuation of the 73-75 full vert era - when the uniside assembly from the single cab truck (15615253, 14039174) (including the 3 pieces which make the rollbar (358643, 466723, 466724) and the outer/inner roof skins (355616 and 15610112) with the most hated rusted component (the drip rails 355679/355680) was phased in (after the full convertible production officially ended) the 73-75 cab floor pan with the rocker boxs was retained until the 1978 redesign where the cab floor was extended (which eliminated the rocker box assembly); the #s listed were abstracted from a GM parts catalog (most have been discontinued)

after viewin the pix of the rocker box outer bracket - this should end up in the GMCPaul's product line since there r no reproduction sheetmetal which exists - an investment in a 3D printer 2 manufacture new tooling e.g. stamping dies (esp the full convertible upper windshield header which is available 4 the 69-72 but not 73-75) is feasible but R&D and licensing from GM can result in delays (also those from Auto Metal Direct should view this)
