Slip on cab supports?
Just curious, can somebody who has used these before explain how exactly they are installed?. Thanks

I am not sure the exact way to install these but I was scared to use them. If your supports are rusty and need replaced just slipping a sleeve over the problem will just delay the problem a few years then you will have to fix the supports again. IMHO it would be better just to cut the old one out and replace with new ones and not worry about it again.

At first I thought the same thing but since the slip on support is larger than the original rusted support, don't you need to grind away the area beyond the original to attach it?. In other words I think these attach to clean grinded metal. Keep in my mind, I'm not a body guy so I'm assuming here.

To me the big issue would be what condition is the sruff the cab support is attached to. Chances are it is less then structurely perfect. Replacing cab supports is many times more than just the cab support that needs replaced.

they attach to the inner rocker... i cut my old outer rockers off since they were swiss cheese almost... and i had holes in the inner rocker that the slip on support bolts to... so i think it bolts to inner rocker panels.. like said before i would cut old ones out.. all i used is an air chisel and a few hours of my time for each.... just be careful i air chiseled threw my floor and so i had to patch te floor...
