Will these rims fit??
I found a great sale at 4wd.com and was wondering if either of these rims would fit? im not sure as to what backspacing i need, im still new to the c10 life!
but i have a 1972 with front discs (im pretty sure i saw it was a 5x5) http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.as...0&partID=43326 http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.as...0&partID=43340 Thanks! |

Re: Will these rims fit??
Whether a wheel will fit depends on more than the wheel size and backspace - 5x5 is the correct bolt pattern for 71+ C10...is your truck dropped? What size tires will you run? Are you going to run the same size tire front and back?

Re: Will these rims fit??
I test fit the first set on my truck last saturday, they fit, should do alright with a 255/50r18, though if you have a sway bar it might hit at full lock.

Re: Will these rims fit??
Well now i gotta decide which ones like more.
I figured $300 total and free shipping to the store about 20 mins from me, i think i could easily sell them for that. Last edited by bmrrwolfe; 04-07-2009 at 09:38 PM. |

Re: Will these rims fit??
Well the truck is still in piece, but i decided with the chrome ones, and these should be a huge motivation to get it driving again!

Re: Will these rims fit??
All depends on the drop, if any. 1010tires.com has a nifty calculator that will tell you recommended rim width for a given tire size and all the dimensions of up to 4 tires + 1 control tire (say, stock size?).
Short answer is yeah, if you want a taller sidewall those should work. Just keep in mind the rims you ordered are 9in wide, don't want rim sticking out any farther than the tire Any tire shop worth its salt will test fit one for you, especially if you have cash in hand to buy tires. |
