I'd say, as long as you didn't hear dueling banjo's you'd be alright.
No seriously just make your presence known, what can they tell ya, either yeah everything is for sale or nothing is for sale.

If there's a house or building go knock on the door.Maybe his wife will give them to you to get them out of the way.If not the worst they can do is tell you to go away. That's the same as a no when you ask a girl out.

Re: what would u do?

If there is a house or office, go talk to them. If there isn't any house or office, check with some of the neighbors, they might give you the scoop. You never know what you can find out. If you do run into the owner, tell him you were admiring his collection, (never mention "Junk"), and were curious if he had some stuff for sale or trade. What ever you do, don't act like his stuff is worthless and you will take his junk off his hands for free.

Just to relate to you a story. My High School metal shop teacher, used to drive by a house with a '59 Vette parked in the driveway. He drove by the house for years and the car never moved and was showing signs of weathering. He finally got the nerve and knocked on the door. An older woman answered the door, and he asked her if the '59 Vette was for sale, as he had seen it parked for several years and it had not moved. She told him, that he was the first person to ask if the Vette was for sale. People would come up to the door and ask if the Chevy or even if the Corvair was for sale. Always figuring that the old lady had no clue what she had. It turned out to be her son's car and he was in the military, married and had lost interest in the car years ago. My H-S metal shop teacher ended up buying the Vette off her for a very decent price. So you never know until you ask, but be polite when you do.

laminate a card with your name, # and a message stating you are interested in parts or whole trucks. respectfully attach it somewhere visible and wait.

Re: what would u do?

Wanted to let you know Tim, that he probably won't sell anything. He has had all of the vehicles in that place for quite a while. Ken knows him personally and says that he also knows what there worth. He's one of those guys that will keep them till they rust away. And yes he can get a little mad. He ran a deputy sheriff off once with his dozer. Would have ran him over, he is that kind of guy.

Re: what would u do?

EDIT:I typed this w/o reading you got the info. But,I`m leaving it because it still applies and there will be other such sightings.

I`d shoot you and wouldn`t you shoot me (or simular protective measure)? The only way would be find out who`s property it is and ask.Otherwise, just because you want something,or even get a closer look, and it`s just sitting there doesn`t give the right to do so.The owner does have the right to let it set.You can go to the county seat and access records on property owners.Once you know who owns it and have all the property ID numbers and still don`t have a good contact you can go to the state tax assessors office and get a print-out on who the property is titled to.take notice of the closest address and get a mental picture to help locate the property once you have a plat in front of you.

Good advice, I've done this myself in the past.
