Medium blue vinyl dye?
Does anybody know which manufacturer and color of vinyl dye matches the medium blue interiors? I am trying to match a headliner, seat belt buckles and such. LMC carries the COLORBOND product but only calls it "blue". Summit racing had nice little color chips next to their COLORBOND products so I ordered two cans that looked just like medium blue ($40 after shipping ). They arrived with caps so dark I thought they were black and the product wasn't much lighter. Crap.
I've looked at color charts for VHT, SEM, HI-TECH, DUPLICOLOR and I can't find anything. The HI-TECH product called "sky blue" looks the closest, but I don't want to piss away more money finding out can anybody steer me right? http://www.detailyourcar.com/vinyl-p...dye-p-258.html Thanks!

Re: Medium blue vinyl dye?
I know they can mix up some sem in any color, I probably should have gone that route already...seems like every time I try to save a buck I lose ten.

Re: Medium blue vinyl dye?
Try Classic Industries. I purchased a can of Med Blue for my doors. Have not tried it yet but they do produce some good stuff. They offer a lot of different colors. Plus, I think right now they offer free shipping if you purchase over $99 worth of stuff.
Good luck.

Re: Medium blue vinyl dye?
I just did my arm rests and door panels with Duplicolor's Vinyl and Fabric spray. Turned out pretty good. Part # HVP102--Vinyl Blue. About $7 a can.
Here are some pics. Hope it helps.

Re: Medium blue vinyl dye?
I just have it matched off an original piece rather than gamble that the mail order vendor got it right. My Sierra has three different blues in the interior. You have to ask yourself, which one did the vendor match?I`d spend the twelve bucks and get it right.
