Re: Happy Belated 40 Year Birthday!
I got a couple more pictures.
That kid in the back is me. My dad would help with the church youth-group campouts in the Sierras. I am pretty sure that's my two older sisters in the cab. The wooden stake in the bed is one of six that my dad made for an old army tarp. (He still has the posts and the tarp, that thing weighs 20 pounds!) We had to sleep under it one time when it rained. We would be the advanced group that would go up a couple days early to "reserve" some sites close together. I have come to appreciate the way it looked back then, basic and utilitarian. GMC

Re: Happy Belated 40 Year Birthday!
Got a few more pictures and a couple more stories. I has been five years since I repainted it. I had it down to bare metal and was starting to smooth out a few spots when a thunderstorm came through one night. After that I found a way to squeeze it into the garage until i was done.
