Re: Transfer case???

That would be a new process 203

the big aluminum tailhousing and the shift linkage give it away

Re: Transfer case???

NP203 = chain drivin(not as strong & possiable full-time 4x4)
NP205 = gear drivin(strongest & part-time 4x4)

It is what I run, it all depends on what you plan to use your 4x4 for. The NP203 has a gear driven range box with a chain driven 4x4 section and it is a very heavy cast iron unit with low gear of 1.96:1. The NP205 is completely gear driven with a cast iron case and will bolt up to a 2 wheel drive TH400 and it also has 1.96:1. The trail guys like to combo the front range box from the NP203 with the NP205 case to make a Doubler for a low gear of 4:1. The NP208 is a chain driven unit with a aluminum housing and it has a low range of 2.6:1 and this is the case i used untill I went to a TH400 since it is light weight an has a lower gear ratio.
