WTB Transfer Case 99 Suburban 3/4 2500 454 7.4

I'm having trouble finding a transfer case as mine isn't rebuildable. I have a 99 Suburban 3/4 ton 454 with the dash controlled transfer case. If anyone has one, knows where one is, or has a suggestion other than ebay and my local junkyards please let me know.
I'm in Fort Worth, TX.
Thanks,
Bryan

You might look at a local tranny shop, this is in their area of expertise. You might also narrow down the tcase model (ex. NP203, NP208 these are just some model #s from the top of my head). This might help in your search, help narrow down what you can find these in. What exactly do you want, new, used, rebuilt? You can get reman units from parts stores w/ warr. You can also get them from GM with warr. Good Luck.

There's a 4L80E with xfer case on craiglist in Clovis, I think he's asking $700 for all of it and the tranny has been rebuilt.

Depending how much you embrace the electric shift transfercase, now would be the perfect time to upgrade to a more reliable manual shift transfercase. The New Process 241C or a Borg-Warner 4470 will also fit your Sub but may require driveshaft mods and the need to acquire a shifter assembly and shift rod.

The NP 241C might actually be a direct bolt in to replace your 243 or 246 Autocrap tcase with out the need to mod the driveshafts.

Re: WTB Transfer Case 99 Suburban 3/4 2500 454 7.4

bwood-its at a tranny shop right now. Thanks for helping out a guy from Sherman-Go Bearcats.

BBRule-I searched but didn't find the one in Clovis-is it under lubbock or Albequerque craigslist?

468-I completely forgot about car-part. They sure are proud of used cases with over 100k miles. I'm going to look into dirtylarry's suggestion.

I could really care less about even having the transfer case at this point so going to a more reliable and maybe cheaper? unit is a great suggestion. Since I hardly ever use it I assume I could get under the truck and manually put it in 4wd when the need arises.

I'll see if they can get a NP 241C to mock up and see if it will work.

Thanks for the help. May have to talk to Dirty about the 8.1 swap for my 72 Suburban.
