Somplace to hang my taillights - progress

Stepside lovers only
If anyone remembers this thread:

Smooth stepside rear thread

I finally made some progress in metal. Took some of the suggestions and wrapped the bottom to the same contour as the roll pan. I got 4 of these lights:

LED lights

and plan to install them from the inside so the flange doesn't show. With a little filler, it might even look 'frenched'.

Hmmm....or is that now... "freedomed"???

I started with a 'U' shaped piece of 16 gauge.

Bottom detail, from the front side. Eventually the holes will be filled, and everything smoothed.

No, the red dolly isn't floating.....or glued to the rail. The bed's still upside down; the pictures were easier to flip over!!.

One of these days I'll have to put all this stuff on a web site. Right after the truck is done.....Yea, right...

FINALLY, someone actually finishing a stake pocket! I love it. I can't wait to do my 56 similar to that. I'll be rounding it off a little more to go with the body style. Great work!

BTW ROTFLMAO at "Freedomed" tail lights! I'll be using that around my hotrod buds if you don't mind
