Re: J'ever feel like throwin' in the towel?
Everybody gets discouraged, kind of like crud in your eyes, it happens if you work on "projects" for a while, sooner or later you will be under it and you can't find your safety glasses, and BAMM a little chunk of goo will fall right in your left eye....it happens. Don't let it beat you, and wear your safety glasses. One day you will have the perfect truck, or at the very least alot of good memories, of trying.
I would rather have a half built Chevy, than a story about my old truck I never finished. |

Re: J'ever feel like throwin' in the towel?
My buddy who just helped me finish my 71 has his brothers 69 Camaro (w a 427 on an engine stand ready to go in) they worked on it off and on for years, well his brother died last summer, I wish I had the money to give him to finish it and give to his nephews.

Re: J'ever feel like throwin' in the towel?
I've had my 70 since i was 17.I am now 40.This truck is my 1st vehicle and was given to me by my dad.We lost him him a short time later to a motorcycle accident. At one time i had the truck pretty much finshed and had a blast driving it.Then i thought i would redo some stuff and make it even better. It's been tore apart since the mid 90's.SO yea there are ALOT of times I feel like throwin' in the towel.BUT....I'm not going to.I've just started gathering parts again and i'm starting back on it.

I keep tellin myself that the sporty dont need paint tho.....make it go fast, wax it & run it down the road Hang in there, crazyL

Re: J'ever feel like throwin' in the towel?
Take a break, (go fishing) =)... like your daughter in law told you, it dont cost ya nuthin having it sit around, I just finished mine (sigh), and man I tell ya, driving that ole gal, looking across that fresh shiny blue hood, there isnt anything like it. The looks and nods and comments you get, its just alot of fun, I think, having it and it was worth the ridiculous amount of money I dumped into it to know that it'll be around for one of my boys to have someday.
