Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
The part I thought was kinda funny is when they talked about the fuel cell. They went with the Summit one because they said it wasn't in their budget to get a custom SS one made, but they had $3 to $4000 for the air ride suspension and 4 link.

Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
Larry, you can go to the powerblocktv site and watch them. You'll just have to search the last 2 or 3 seasons. You can also purchase them on itunes and I think Amazon as well. On itunes they are only like $3 an episode.

Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
Our Budget changed... The air ride suspension w as last season, and we're looking at the rest of the truck with a more careful eye.
Thanks for watching. KT. |

Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
I've gotta be careful what I say about the next episode before it airs..... Somebody noted that we've yet to address most of the interior, wiring and glass.... That's pretty much all that's left to do (even though that's plenty... especially the wiring part) other than drive it. We hope to have it finished up and on the road by the end of this season, and unless something really bizzarre happens, you'll see us road test it before fall. I've read about the Mustang tank as well as the blazer tank, probably on this website, but the measurements made sense with the Summit tank and it worked out.
Ultimately, everyone has a different way of doing things, and it's great to have a website like this to study as we go about making our shows. Thanks for the killer resource! KT. |

Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
Let's see your truck KT. I know you said you have a 66 in the family. Post up some pics. We'd love to see it.
Ps. If you don't do some burn outs in the shrunken66 there's going to be trouble.

Re: If you missed the last Trucks show
there is entirely too much tread on those FIrestone Firehawks.... rest assured there will be burnouts! I dont have any pics of my personal '66 here on my work computer but I'll try to remember to send some from home when I log on to read all the abuse I'll get from my other posts! LOL!
Right now it's a nearly bone stock '66 longbed fleetside with a 350/700R4 combo. It's very solid, but needs almost everything redone. ORiginal bed wood has finally started to rot and fall out, the glass is hazed at the corners, aand the fenders are rusty in the (typical) rear sections, but the paint is still in decent shape and it still gets alot of attention driving it around town and on errands.
