68 bites the dust!

The guy was petting his dog and hit a parked pickup truck at 40 mph! What a waste of a nice 68 pickup. Oh the guy is OK bump on the head but the truck is toast!

Re: 68 bites the dust!

ouch!! no kidding!! it is sad to see stories like this cuz more then likely the truck will be totaled & put in a scrap yard. it will then fall under the jaws of the crusher!!! as long as the occupants are ok!! i just hope that the dog is all that he was petting.... that seems kinda weird to me, but like i said just glad all is ok!!

i cant really tell but from the looks of it, the frame is ok. So it could be repaired with a new front clip?

Re: 68 bites the dust!

the whole cab is fubard, and the bed is most likely kerfagled too. I'm willing to bet that the engine got hit and the tranny (if automatic) may even be cracked. Plus, the frame is probably damaged from the cab pulling on it.
Parts truck.

Hmm well if it was 'kerfagled' then it must be done. had to laugh at that word. Never seen that word before.

Re: 68 bites the dust!

I almost did this on a dirt bike one time. I was turned around watching my friend behind me. I missed the car by maybe an inch going at least 30. No Shirt no helmet flip flops it would have been an emergency room trip for sure.
