Classicparts.com grilles any good?

I bought a new grille on ebay, and when the guy went to ship it he said he noticed it was a 67 grille not like he advertised, so now I gotta find anohter LMC want 430 plus about another 100 between shipping and sales tax since I live in KS. This site has one for 390 plus 50 for shipping and Im assuming no sales tax. This would save me a little money, but I dont want a cheap product, If anyone has bought one of these let me know if its anygood or not. Thanks!

Don't know about the grills, but I've ordered parts from Classic Parts and they were very high quality.

Agree with the Sin,

I wouldn't hesitate a second to buy something from Classic Parts. They have a great return policy so if you didn't like it, back it goes.

Call up and ask for Charlie, he's one of main guys there and ask him personally..... knows his "stuff" and is a great guy.

same here ,Doug, I've dealt with Charlie before and he does know his stuff about trucks. classic parts is where I've gotten a lot of my restore stuff for my 70 1/2'er, good prices and good delivery times, usually about a week, or less. :Chevy:

Re: Classicparts.com grilles any good?

give them a call and say something about the rust spot.

if they offer to send another in return, request that they open it and inspect before shipping. and take pics to back up your claim....

however, if it's just surface rust, can you get it off with a little elbow grease?

Re: Classicparts.com grilles any good?

I sent them pics and they offered to replace it but it was out of stock and wouldnt have any more for two to three weeks. I dont want to wait this long and I think your right, elbow grease will take it right off. That and a lil polish, it was only in a few tiny dots so I think it will be ok. Regaurdless it is definitly good quality heavy gage material. I am satisfied with it, 100 percent improvement over my old beat up one!

Re: Classicparts.com grilles any good?

Little bit of buffing and the rust is gone, fit was tight, the old one came out tight as well so thats ok. Didnt get all four bolt hole to line up on the drivers side, but it is still plenty secure. Definitly pleased for an aftermarket grille! Looks good!
