Yes, the GM Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan is still in operation.

Unfortunately, the GM Desert Proving Ground in Mesa Arizona has recently been closed, after a protracted delay of about 9 years. A smaller activity has been relocated to Yuma Arizona and is just now getting fired up.

I visited the DPG fairly regularly from about 1986-1989 and was stationed there from 1990-1994.

If you like history and defunct proving grounds a visit to the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Twp, MI might be in order. They host an open house a couple times a year and provide tours of the facility.

Here are some pics from a couple years ago:

Re: "Little White Race Truck" (GM Proving Ground story)

does anyone know how to get in contact with Keith Seymore? I really liked the story he told about this truck and am interested in having him retell it within the pages of Sport Truck Magazine. I've sent him a pm but haven't recieved a response. Thanks for any help you can offer.

It would be really neet to see some pic's of such a historic set of trucks!

I don't (have pics) but I'm sure John does. I'm checking with him as we speak.
