Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

Any idea what this means? Yes, I am new here... Also my top has a "latch" sun roof over the back seat, is that stock?

Those are the factory markings left from assembly looks like the hood was either installed on 12-5-69 or that was the date of completion.

Sunroofs were not an option on these looks like someone added that most likely in the 80's or early 90's

His profile shows a picture of a very nice red blazer, that must be where the sunroof resides.

Re: Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

Here are some pics, I was told from the original owner I bought it from, that this truck was custom ordered from the Owner of the Dealership he bought it from in Reno. And he was able to talk the owner of the dealership into selling it to him... Thoughts are always appreciated!!

No the SPID tag is on the other side of the glove box door. Dealer installed options were not on the tag, and are not considered factory options.

Re: Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

I know that dealerships send out vehicles to trim shops (I worked in a trim shop for a while) that install sunroofs, vinyl tops, chrome accents, etc. and then the vehicle is sold with the sunroof or extras as a factory option from the dealership. So this is a dealership option, not factory.

Re: Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

that assumes the story is correct, and not something fabricated by a previouse owner to try and claim his truvck to be more rare and desirible than the run of the mill blazer.
I say the story is bogus. If that was a honest 40 year old sunroof, it would have gobs of sillicone sealant all around it, and to be honest, I have never seen one that looked anythihng like that being of a 60's vintage. They didn't use a whole lot of plastics in stuff like that back then, the handle would more likely than not be made of cheesey chromed pot metal if it was original, plus, the glass would have had a steel frame around the glass, and probably be smaller.

Re: Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

If they are original, they are fairly rare and spendy to buy. If they are original to your blazer, they will be listed on the tag inside the glovebox door.
So, yes it is a good thing

Re: Underside of my hood, any idea what it means?? (new guy here)

Not sure if you meant two or tow, but both are good.
It appears they may be factory hooks. If they are factory hooks they are worth a few hundred. If you post better pics we can tell you for sure if they are factory.

It is 4WD, but it has a 2WD VIN and SPID. Does it have leafs or coils in the back?

thats not a blazer spid... that's a truck spid, a quick look at the vin tells you that. The 4 in the 4th spot means cab and bed.
