Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
I have a 70 Chevy C-10 pickup... there is a black/gray cardboard gas tank cover that can be seen between the seat and the door on the driver side. I note that it does not extend to the passenger side and insulation type material can been seen on pass side. I ordered a new one thinking it covers both sides but it turns out that it doesn't extend as far as the passenger side. I spoke to the Classic Chevy part place and they say there is no such item for the passenger side. Is this true? It appears to me that something was there or should be there (i.e. cover). Any info. on this would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks, Rick

Re: Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
I remember tearing that off mine but I am pretty sure it stopped about where the fuel lines come out of the cab floor.

Re: Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
the best i can remember, the cover doesn't go all the way across, because the jack stores in the pasenger side cab corner area. so you should have a fabric bag in that area with the jack handel and stuff over there.

Re: Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
I had my upholstery shop make one that goes all the way across.

Re: Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
the cardboard cover does not extend much past the tank on the passenger side.

Re: Panelboard Gas Tank Cover
The aftermarket suppliers do sell a carpet cover that will cover the entire area.
