custom grille ?

so i have a chrome custom round tube grille that i need to put on my truck . but it dose not line up whit the holes on the truck and it not wide a enough to fit it . the box says it will fit my 79. this is the one have from lmc

the blue shows where the grille should blot to the truck
what do i need to do to make it fit ? cut sum of the grille off ? or is the grille missing sum thing ?

You should just use some sheet metal screws to attach it to the vertical supports you have circled in the pictures. If it doesn't fit the opening, then you probably bought the wrong one.

if yours is like mine and there are some brackets at the mounting point, try swapping them sides if they dont line up with the vertical supports, otherwise use the self tapping sheet metal srews
