But this one is "rare". I agee 100% with 70CST in that it is pretty likely that the guy has a ton of money tied up in truck that won't bring half of what he is asking in todays market

Everyone here knows where I stand on BIG wheels but that truck needs *BIG* wheels or something. That is the biggest mistake I see a lot of guys who show up at a lot of events. Spend a ton of money and time on the vehicle and then go to cheap wheels are us and get the cheapest set of wheels and tires that they have on the rack and often totally the wrong size.

The funny thing is, there are several guys on here that could take that truck home or to the shop and without breaking too big a sweat could post photos of it the next weekend that would knock our collective socks off.

Maybe it should be this weeks photoshop challenge. The mission is to take the photos of the truck and make changes that could be done in weeks time by normal guys and make a truck out of it. The only rules are that you have to leave it with the late stepside and no serious body modifications.

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

He contacted me about trading for what I thought was one of mine I have listed. When I asked what trade value he placed on his truck I got the shock of my life. He then said it was not 1 of mine he wanted to trade for but all 3 I have listed. I wished him good luck with his sale and moved on.

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

Good advice would be to lose that styleside bed, put on a orig fleet bed painted to match and drop the rear 5" or so........And then it still doesnt have a/c..........As it sits, I would expect that a truck SIMILAR TO this one to be in the $7500 range, JMHO

I did slip in that if it had a correct bed and AC and we were in better economic times he may be able to fetch about 1/2 what he was asking. I think I was still being generous!

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

In these tough times, you could go get a brand new Chevy or GMC truck, LTZ, for that price and it would come with a 5 year warranty.......and cooler wheels.

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

Ha. There's a really nice 68 around here that's been on Craigslist at $22,000 for months. I've seen it at shows and it blows that thing away. Good luck to him.

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

That`s neat how they put an old truck front on there.
He should put another $10,000 in it and ask $35,000.

Re: Deal of the week.....lets all get in line!

I agree with most of the responses. I have seen trucks that were less than half of what he's asking and much better looking truck.
