Finally going off to the paint shop..
I still question putting the money for paint into this project but, I can't stand the dull, faded paint any longer. Here are a couple of recent pics showing both sides and one of the new serpentine belt system installation. Since then I've added dual electric fans and gotten rid of the old belt driven fan.
Going with the navy blue metallic on the bottom and a silver (any suggestions?) on the top. There will be a painted pin stripe separating the colors. Eventually, I want to get some old style GM rally wheels as I don't care for the wheels on it now. Very little body work needed so I'm hoping to have it back in a month or so. I sure hope I don't end up missing all the summer shows and meets while this is painted. |

I can't wait to see how it turns out. Good luck.

Yeah, we worked on it pretty hard but it's an old acylic enamel job from the late 80's and it is just worn out. The silver will be on the hood as well as the top of the cab. We are going to work out where to break the colors when I get there later today. |
